since i bought the wii, when i try to play multiplayer games that use the wii controller only like lets say "bleach shattered soul", i cant make the wii recognize the other wii remote and since the game doesn't have an option like mario kart or smash bros to identify controls im kinda stuck to single payer modes all the time, can anyone help me please?

I don't really understand the question. Being a hardcore gamer (and a nitpicking SoB), the term Wii controller is a bit 'vague', do you mean the Wiimote (http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/detail-page/WiiRemote1.jpg), the Nunchuck (http://www.tegames.co.uk/media/raw/White%20Nunchuck%20Used.jpg), the Classic (http://images.bidorbuy.co.za/user_images/663/397663_100816200128_wii_classic_controller.jpg) Controller (http://uncrate.com/p/2010/01/wii-classic-controller-pro-xl.jpg), even a Gamecube controller (http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mb8cpfb3m21ri1vtso1_1280.jpg)?

How many Wiimotes do you have and have you tried synchronizing all of them?

Do you want to synchronize the Wii Remote to the Wii so it can be used to power the console on, or do you merely want to allow a Wii Remote to be used with a game, without synchronizing it with the Wii?

The latter is the easier one. Press Home on the active Wii Remote to get to the Home screen. At the bottom of the screen, you can reconnect the Wii Remotes. Press that and press 1+2 on the Wii Remotes you want to use in the order you want to use them. All four lights should flash on the remote and it will make a sound that the Wii will echo. The first Wii Remote you press 1+2 becomes Controller 1 and so on. when you power off the Wii, the connection will be forgotten, though. Good for using a guest's Wii Remote without un-sychronizing it from their Wii at home.

To synchronize a Wii Remote with a Wii, you must open the SD Card flap on the front of the Wii to find the red SYNC button. Then open the battery cover on the Wii Remote to find a small red button. Press both, I think the order is first the Wii, then the Remote, but I forget, and the Wii Remote is now synced to that Wii and you can both use it to power on the Wii and it will automatically connect to the Wii when you press 1+2, even outside the Home screen.

Note that on newer Wii Remotes, especially those branded with the Wii U logo, the sync button is now on the outside in a recess on the back of the Wii remote. Even if it says Wii U on it, it will still work on a Wii.

McNum is right on the ball, however there's another factor you may need to take into consideration. While a game is booted up, it may prevent more than one Wiimote from connecting until you specify that you would like to play multiplayer, even if that Wiimote is already synched to your Wii.

A good example of this is Donkey Kong Country returns, where the Wii will only recognise one remote until you specify 2 Players.

If you have tried the steps McNum has run and you're still running into problems, try going as far as you can with one remote until you have the option to specify how many players would like to play.

Wow, that is really some bass-ackwards logic there. Used to be a game wouldn't allow you to select multiplayer if you only had one controller connected. Now, this happens?? :smallconfused:

I just can't fathom why they'd design a game that way. :smallsigh::smallannoyed:

So there aren't multiple people messing with the menus.

Either way, it doesn't make much differece.

So there aren't multiple people messing with the menus.

That's the kind of thing that needs to be included more often in local multiplayer games! Hate it when my Dad starts being stupid in the menu and makes it a headache just to get to the game.... bad enough of a troll in game.

I was going to post on this subject, but it looks like you guys have already gotten everything I was gonna say out of the way! These forums rock.
