I have a very simple question, the spell Fire snake

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/f/fire-snake

Can it hit the same target more than one time?

I'd say no. The path might be touching the same creature twice, but it's still just a single path. Hence, it just damages once. Others might shed further light onto this, though, as I have no rules to cite on the matter.

It says "creatures in the path" take damage...there is no mention of taking variable damage depending on how many squares they occupy which are affected. So the answer has to be each creature can only take damage once.

In my understanding, you create a weaving line of fire in squares adjacent. That meaning that you can't put multiple areas together.

It's basically a wobbly wall of fire that doesn't have a height.

Yeah, you're basically either in the path, or you aren't. No provision for stacking with itself, so assume that it doesn't.
