Occult Nemesis

The eldritch blast is the most distinctive power of the hellish mages known as Warlocks, and, some would argue, the most potent of their abilities. However, even Warlocks acknowledge the skill of the Occult Nemeses. An Occult Nemesis is a Warlock who has mastered the eldritch blast, applying deft and artful skill to his magic. Many Occult Nemeses see themselves as divine justice personified, their eldritch blasts the weapons of a higher power. Some lack this fanaticism, pursuing the path of the nemesis for less zealous reasons, but even they cannot deny that there is some higher, occult power aiding each nemesis in his pursuits.

Class Features
All the following are class features of the Occult Nemesis prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
You gain no additional weapon or armor proficiencies.

Invocations
At each level but 2nd and 8th, you gain new invocations known, and an increase in caster level as if you had also gained a level in an invocation-using class to which you belonged before you added the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.

Eldritch Blast (Su)
At 1st level, and each subsequent odd level, the damage dealt by your eldritch blast increases by 1d6.

Unearthly Aim (Su)
At 1st level, your eldritch blasts are guided by an occult force that leads them directly to your foes, no matter how hard they may try to hide. Your eldritch blast ignores all miss chances caused by concealment. Even total concealment is ignored, though you must still target the correct square. You do not gain the benefits of this ability when you use a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit.

Preternatural Accuracy (Su)
At 2nd level, your eldritch blasts are drawn to your foe’s weak points by powers beyond your understanding. You may add your Dex bonus to any damage roll you make with you eldritch blast. Creatures immune to critical hits are immune to the extra damage from this ability. You do not gain the benefits of this ability when you use a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit.

Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast) (Ex)
At 3rd level, you gain Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast) as a bonus feat. You need not meet the prerequisites for it.

Eldritch Death Attack (Ex)
At 4th level, you gain the ability to make death attacks with your eldritch blast. To make an eldritch death attack, you must first spend three rounds studying your foe, followed by attacking the target with an eldritch blast. While studying the victim, you can undertake other actions so long as your attention stays focused on the target and the target does not detect you or recognize you as an enemy. If the victim of an eldritch death attack fails a Fortitude save, DC 10 plus your class level plus your Cha modifier, he dies. If he successfully saves against the eldritch death attack, he is not further impaired, though he is still affected normally by the eldritch blast. Once you have completed the 3 rounds of study, you must make the eldritch death attack within the next 3 rounds or be forced to study your target again before you can make another eldritch death attack. You cannot make an eldritch death attack with an eldritch blast to which a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit has been applied.

Inscrutable Luck (Su)
At 5th level, even when it seems your eldritch blasts have missed, fate has a way of ensuring they find their mark. Once per day per three class levels, you may reroll an attack roll made with your eldritch blast. You receive a luck bonus on the reroll equal to half your class level. You abide by the result of the reroll, even if it is lower than the original attack roll. You do not gain the benefits of this ability when you use a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit.

Adaptable Essence (Su)
At 6th level, you gain the ability to infuse your eldritch blasts with raw eldritch power. Once per day per three class levels, you may apply any eldritch essence invocation, even one you do not know, to one of your eldritch blasts. That invocation must be of a level that your are capable of using. You do not gain the benefits of this ability when you use a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit. You cannot use this ability with an eldritch blast to which a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit has been applied.

Uncanny Reflexes (Su)
At 7th level, you gain mystic foresight into the events around you, allowing you to make lightning-fast attacks with your eldritch blast. Once per round, when a foe provokes an attack of opportunity from you, you may use your eldritch blast to make that attack. Even when unarmed, you are treated as threatening all squares adjacent to you with your eldritch blast.

Greater Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast) (Ex)
At 8th level, you gain Greater Weapon Focus (Eldritch Blast) as a bonus feat. You need not meet the prerequisites for it.

Eldritch Savant (Su)
At 9th level, your eldritch blasts become an extension of your self. You may make sunder and disarm attempts with your eldritch blasts without taking a penalty for doing so with a ranged weapon. You do not gain the benefits of this ability when you use a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit.

Wrath of the Nemesis (Su)
At 10th level, you gain the ability to attack freely with your eldritch blast. You may take a full-round action to make a full attack with your eldritch blast. If you do so, you may not apply a blast shape invocation that causes your eldritch blast to not require a ranged touch attack to hit to your eldritch blast. Before you attack with your eldritch blast, you must choose which, if any, eldritch essence or blast shape invocations you are going to apply to your eldritch blast. If you choose to apply an invocation, you must apply it to all eldritch blasts you use that round. You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to your Cha modifier, minimum one.

Nice, warlocks needed some love.
However, the final ability... It seems to be lacking in power, or maybe I am just looking at it wrong. Care to enlighten me?

Good idea with the table.

I was conservative in making that ability, yes. I had considered having it be at will, but thought that would be a bit much. Any ideas?

I admit that I am no expert on warlocks... buuuuut!

It might be really cool to give a powerful 1/day ability. Like, you can eldritch blast as a ranged touch as an immidiate action 1/day, with interupting effects on its targets (Concentration checks for casters obviously, balance checks for charging people, ect)? Maybe, just an idea.

Or you could have them threaten all spaces they can target with an eldrich blast and are able to cast it as an attack of opportunity a certain amount of times per day?

Im just throwing these ideas out, too sleepy for balance. ; )

You don't have to include the Eldritch blast progression in the chart, they increase that automatically with invocation progression.

It would have progressed slower if he'd done it that way. Also, thread necromancy.
