Is there any tool (Excel file or something else) that makes trading easy. buy & sell really take time sometimes..

If you know how to work Excel formulas, you can pretty easily make a spreadsheet of the items you intend to sell, and the gold values you'll receive from each. Have say, one column of item names, another column of monetary values (the values you will receive. The default rule in 3.5 is buy at full price, sell for half price) for each item, then have them all totaled into a cell at the bottom. Once the transaction is finalized, you subtract the gold values and add all the items to your inventory.

Then have an additional, similar column for items you intend to buy. It can help to mark items on your character sheet as "junk" or "intend to sell". I personally do it by adding a dash next to the item in question.


In general, modifying your inventory is a lot easier when it's on a spreadsheet program like Excel.

I've got an excel sheet where I do something like is shown below. The formatting is all off, but column 1 is item name, then value, then how many we have, and then the price (b*c/2). This assumed the simple "sell for half value".

I havent seen anything with those values already done, and once you start getting into magical items with abilities and plusses it would be hard to have a comprehensive list.
