Any groups playing on Christmas? Any DM's going to throw some xmas themed stuff in? Fighting an evil santa? Rabid reindeer?

Why an Evil Santa? Why not an Evil Necromancer trying to use Santa to spread control over the entire planet, killing and reviving his Elves under his control?

Yup my group as had an ongoing christmas and easter campaign going for several years now with one session on christmas and one on easter. We have killed the local santas, the traditional north pole mecha-santa, were tricked into killing the easter bunny by a local candy mascot, stopped a snowman uprising, been mobbed by the now jobless Santas elves in revenge, traveled under a volcano to stop a chocolate egg apocalypse and more things that I can't recall anymore.

The party is a steroid jock possessed by the spirit of a viking hero, a PI that thinks he's a dragon after having his flamethrower punched into him by the mecha-santa, a christmasghost-rockwoman chemist, an old hobo/mall santa with a flying truck/motorcycle powered by the blood of santas reindeer and I think we'll be getting a new party member this year but I'm not sure what sheŽll be playing.

Basically we try to be as silly as possible and often ignore the rules slightly (greatly) by the use of 'kick-ass' points (you get 40 every session and can spend some amount that's decided by the DM to do whatever kick-ass thing you can come up with).

I can't wait to see what this years DM will come up with.

Naw, I think it'd be funnier as an inevitable. :p

So what stats does a traditional "Jolly Old Elf" present? (out of the multitude of Santa interpretations possible)

How did I overlook that? Probably dodging too much xmas justice. Saves me x-amount of work. :smallwink:

I guess you could just take his character block (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20011222x), white out "Human" and replace it with elf. :smalltongue:

Santa and the elves as fairies (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheFairFolk). Alien, amoral, blue and orange morality (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BlueAndOrangeMorality) fairies. Party gets lost in the woods and "rescued" by a Christmas Elf. Taken to Santa's village, they are welcomed with feasts and merriment. The Elves do make toys for children all year long, and Santa does distribute them across the land with his Phantom Chariot according to his vague notions of good and evil. The party even get a few magic items as gifts... until it wants to leave. Leave? What's "leave"?.

A Sneak Attacking, Turning Undead Santa Claus?

I think I lost brain cells reading that entry. On the other hand, my remaining brain cells are screaming, "F- yeah!"

army of toys. Those gnome constructs tend to malfunction right :)

Christmas trees coming awaken and trying to revenge how they were cut and carried away from their home forest. ( in one mmo there was bug(maybe?) where christmas trees in town attacked players if they hit it. )

Anyone have stats for a grinch, preferably a playable one?

Damn, I'm no good at this but people should definitely throw out some stats for some of these monsters so the less creative of us can drop them in our games :p

I ran a christmas special in L5R once. Santa (an ancient moto spirit of giving) was shot down by bloodspeakers about a month after the rain of blood. They had to rescue him from the bloodspeaker's castle in the shadow lands. Their was crawling through latrines, ogre pornography, wacky office shenanigans, and other insanity inducing fun and education. Since then I have tried to develop other christmas specials to cause greater mental distress on the players but nothing has surpassed the first sleep deprivation induced romp.

I've had the idea of an Evil game that sent the PC's (Under the employ of a Killoren Blighter) to Infiltrate the northern fortress of Saint Nicholai (Dwarven cleric of winter with the saint template AL:C/G) and steal the trapped sack of wish he uses to give presents out to the children of Vel' Varis, so he could use it to fund his army of Corrupted Treants and lay siege to the country.

To this day I have yet to actually use it, sadly D:
