There are several handbooks on Lycanthropy forms, but I don't see much on the obscure Entomanothropy (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/re/20040621a). It's a nice toy: Lycanthropy, but with Vermin forms, and some adjustments to the details--notably, LA+2 with no Control Shape shenanigans. It has a lot of potential, but there's no handbook.

I'm looking at a Whisper Gnome build that might benefit from this. Any flying vermin out there with 1 or very few HD?

Sweet for de-crufting the lycanthropy menu, but I only see a few mentions of Entamanothropes. Old Lob is a classic, I'll give you that.

I've always liked the Giant Stag Beetle (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/giantStagBeetle.htm). He's a heavy cost, with 7 HD, but a viable option for medium creatures and has a pretty boss Str (+12), massive Natural Armour (+10) and a really big Bite (4d6!).
