Diopsid bracers and gauntlets?

So I was looking at Diopsids, a race of 4-armed beetle-men from Dragon Compendium, and, never having played a 4-armed character before (I am aware of the Thri-Kreen, but Savage Species was no help, really) what's the ruling on magic gauntlets and bracers for critters with more than one set of arms? Could he wear a set of Strongarm Bracers and a pair of Bracers of Armor? Or in order to derive the benefits of a set of bracers does he need to wear a set on each set of arms, each the same?

Q1: Yes, but only if they take the Extra Item Space feat (Savage Species, p. 34).

Q2: As long as they are wearing one pair of gloves or one set of bracers, they gain the benefit.
