Does this feat apply to all crafting done? Even mundane ones or only for magical items?
I'm pretty new to crafting so it'd be good if you'd help me out. So lets try to make a +1 Chainmail from scratch paying attention to only the gp costs and as to where extraordinary artisan might apply.
Chainmail costs 150 gp.
I pay 1/3 its price for raw materials so that's 50 gp.
Do i get to apply extraordinary artisan now? Taking 25% off 50 gp makes it 37.5 gp.
The masterwork component costs 150 gp.
I pay 1/3 its price for raw materials so that's 50 gp.
Do i also get to apply extraordinary artisan now? Same as above taking 25% off 50 giving me 37.5 gp.
Adding both would cost me 75 gp.
And i get a masterwork chainmail?
Now lets enhance it.
A +1 magical enhancement costs 1000 gp.
I pay half its cost, 500 gp.
Do i get to apply extraordinary artisan now? Reducing it to 375?
So i add 375 to 75 and i get 450.
And it's done.
So is this correct? I only pay 450 gp to craft +1 chainmail?
