What are the purple creatures in this picture (the one with sword and shield and the one flying and casting)? What is their role in Eberron?

As far as I can tell, its never said what they are. They don't seem to appear in either City of Stormreach or Secrets of Xen'drik, nor do they seem to appear in the Campaign Setting book. I quickly looked through the monster manuals for a similiar creature, and found none.

The kraken I believe is supposed to be Zlortharkis, but I can find no mention of the purple flying things. Seeing as how Stormreach is in Xen'drik, they are probably giants of some kind.

At a guess I would say they were eldritch giants (monster manual 3 I believe, the fluff places them in Xen'drik) the scale and perspective is a bit wonky, maybe half-giants with eldritch giant heritage for fluff or primordial half giants which would bring them down to Large size from Huge
