So I'm building an NPC Stone Giant Druid for an upcoming adventure and I wanted him to have a dire bear as his animal companion. The only problem being it's not on the list. Interestingly enough there is a brief mention of using dire bear animal companions in the entry for the Taiga Giant. Is there an alternate list somewhere for animal companions for large casters? Is there anyway for me to give this a guy a dire bear for an animal companion without GM fiat?
