Spell to summon a war horse?

I know mount can summon a light horse, but is there a spell that summons a warhorse?

See if your dm will let you research a new spell to summon a warhorse? I'd probably make it level 2 or 3. Other than that I have no idea

Odd. Can't seem to find one. One can get a unicorn from summon nature's ally, but that's not really a substitute. If you want a warhorse, buying might be the answer. If you want a more durable one, perhaps an animated one.

I think this is one of those balance things the designers did to stop wizards from completely obsoleting fighters.

And the best part is that it's not sentient, so it can't throw you off nor does it ever need ride checks to be ridden into battle. It's like a warhorse that you don't need the Ride skill to use.

Phantom Steed is 4th, right? I'd say summoning an ordinary warhorse is closer to Mount than that, so 2nd level.

iirc, the original mount spell eventually let you summon an elephant, complete with armoured houdah.
