I recall reading about a race that looked like a cat that could stand on two legs. What race is this, and no it's not the Tibbit or the Catfolk, it was something else.

Thanks.

I doubt it, but are you talking about Shifters? The only other thing I can think of is Rakshasa.

I could have swore that I read about it somewhere. And when I say cat I mean like a house cat, not a lion or tiger.

So it looks like a housecat that stands on two legs? Not anthropomorphized in any fashion?

Are you talking about Anthropomorphic Animals from Savage Species maybe?

There's a third party book called Mythic Races that has a family of felinekind races (several subraces each flavored with different felines.) Maybe they had a housecat-like type? (I don't remember more details, I played one (cheeta) once, but that was several years ago.)

No I'm not. Maybe I am just imagining things, but I am almost positive that this race existed.

Hmmm... the only other thing I could think of would be Hengeyokai from Oriental Adventures. If there is a cat version, then the Hengeyokai's hybrid form would almost certainly match the description you give. However, I do not recall there being a cat Hengeyokai...

There are lots of home-brew cat races you can find places like D&D wiki, but if you are thinking of official content, then it is probably something fairly obscure.

Tibbits in humanoid form are Small and do retain feline features, so they would have the "cat on two legs" vibe you seem to be looking for.

I believe that their humanoid forms resemble cats only in their eyes, which the Dragon Compendium lists as "cat like." Otherwise, they just look like small-sized, pointy-eared humanoids with thick hair.

Were-Lynxes can be found somewhere in the Forgotten Realms setting.

Creatures of Freeport (Green Ronin) has a Malkin, a feline native outsider that looks like a normal cat.

Could it possibly be a cheshire cat (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fools/20030401c)?

Did it appear to be mostly humanoid with an animal's head, like Jackal Lord, or did it look like a cat standing on two legs?
