What would be a good formula for converting the Wealth DC to hard numbers using the 1937 dollar? (back when where you could had a cup of hot black coffee for a nickel, a loaf of breat or jug of milk for a quarter?)

I think that converting Wealth into cash is something like PDC to cash multiplied by 10. That gives very low results, though...

Page 204 of D20 Modern converts Wealth DCs into cash prices. Figure that, for DCs under 15, a bonus of X means that an item of DC X or less means that it's insignificant, figure out exactly what fracton insignificant means (1%? .1%? Less?), multiply, figure whether that's per month or per year, adjust for inflation, and you're done.

Where would that be in the Modern SRD?

I don't think it is. The wealth-per-level and wealth awards tables probably aren't in there either.

Ergh... this thing again...

I personally find the best thing about d20 Modern's wealth is that you don't have to mess about with exchange rates...

You don't really need to convert Wealth modifiers into money since if you're using a money tracking system you should do so from the start. You can use the table that gives purchace DCs as prices and then give everyone a certain amount of starting money and then give them money rewards for their actions. If you're in a campaign already using the wealth bonus system I wouldn't bother changing.

Yeah, except that I asked if it was found in SRD. That should give a so subtle clue that I doesn't have the book.

Its not, one of those funny things that WotC doesn't include to make you buy the book.

As for the guidelines they are very, very broad. A +40 wealth bonus is something like $25,000,000 and a +39 is only like $15,000,000. Basically what that means is that something that requires a +39 bonus to buy costs somewhere between $15,000,000 and $24,999,999. The example is extreme, but all of the wealth levels give a range of prices rather then a static number.

Actually, the numbers are maximums. So PDC 40 would be $15,000,001 - $25,000,000.
