I am a self taught chef and I do art, but my medium is food. I was hoping I could share a few dishes I am the most proud of.

For this, I candied figs (a 5 day process) and then used the left over syrup to sweeten a homemade vanilla bean ice cream, to serve my family dessert after Christmas dinner.

This is a plate I did up for an audition for a reality TV show called "MasterChef" on Fox. These are a dessert I call Jay Bites, a bite sized cheesecake, covered in dark chocolate (which I sweeten myself), white chocolate and half and half. These are also my most popular dessert.

EDIT: Thank you Domochevsky for the help getting the images to show up

Try using URL= /URL tags instead. Those links of yours aren't image links.

Alternatively right-click on the images and "view image" to get a direct link to them that you can IMG-tag to.

They look lovely! I especially like the ice cream.

However, the images are stretching my screen -- could you put them in spoilers? (The code is image link here , in case you didn't know, or highlight the image link and press the "spoil" button at the top right of the editor.)

I did not know how to do that, thank you, I'll do it now

These look good! If master chef was based on the food instead of the cook's life story, you would go far.

Edit: I just thought of a hilarious joke about the plates looking good.

That is true, but they requested I come back the following season, and with the fact that I now know that, I have come up with an AMAZING story and I think I will get accepted for sure!

Oh, please do tell!
