So we know about warlock working on the PRC, but what sort of power balance are you looking at if you make the thurge work with DFA including breath progression?

I'd think that you'd be gaining new invocations known each level of invocation progression, but that you'd have to spend an Invocation slot to get a new breath effect the way a Warlock spends them on Blast Shape and Essence invocations.

It'll slow down your progression a bit on that side, but even if you're just getting regular invocations, you'll have those on top of your breath weapon and your spellcasting.
