The bonus from bracers of armor is an enhancement bonus so it would stack with non magical armor but it does not stack with the enhancement bonus from magic armor

Whenever you see the word "bonus", look for the word right before it. This is the bonus type. If two bonuses have the same bonus type, they do not stack with each other unless they specifically say that they do (with the exception of circumstance bonuses). Skip Williams wrote an article (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/rg/20040120a) on bonus stacking, which is very informative.

No, not at all.

Bracers of Armor (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#bracersofArmor) give you an armor bonus to your AC. Wearing any type of armor (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/armor.htm) also gives you an armor bonus to your AC. Multiple bonuses of the same type do not stack. There are only two items that allow stacking armor bonuses.

The dastana and cahar-aina from oriental adventures. Both grant a +1 armor bonus that explicitly stacks with existing armor bonuses. They can only be worn with certain types of mundane armor and the dastana requires medium armor proficiency, but they'd each be enhanced seperately; getting you a sick AC boost on the cheap.

Actually, if you enchant Dastanas and Armor, their +1s won't stack. But the base armor will. They're both considered the same type of bonus (enhancement bonus to armor to AC). The same goes for the Chahar-aina.

Hmm... Good to know. I could use this to do switchable enchantments

Chahar-aina requires medium armor proficiency (it's essentially a form of breastplate). Dastana only requires light. Both can be stacked on top of a chain shirt, but not on anything heavier than that.

Some DMs get really fidgety over those items, though, and either don't allow them or may have additional restrictions. Check with your DM for clarification.

Huh, you're right. I did note that cahar-aina is medium armor in the post you quoted but I always had the two stacking. RAW says they only stack with shields and the foundation armor, not just any other armor bonus. A strict interpretation shouldn't let them stack with bracers of armor either.
