--Class Features--

Recklessness (Ex) Sometimes hasty action proves more useful than even the best laid plans. A chevalier gains a morale bonus equal to 1/2 his class level (minimum 1) on attack and damage rolls on the round he enters a battle. A chevalier only gains this bonus against an opponent (or group of opponents) once per day. Thus, he cannot leave a battle and reengage moments later to gain the benefits of this ability more than once in the same battle.

Aura of Courage (Su) At 2nd level a chevalier has an aura of courage like that of a 3rd-level paladin.

Headlong Charge (Ex) At 4th level, a chevalier gains an additional +2 to hit when charging. In addition when making an attack while charging he deals damage as if he were one size category larger.

Smite Evil (Su) At 5th level once per day a Chevalier gains the ability to Smite Evil as if he were a Paladin of his character level. At 7th and 10th level he gains additional uses of this ability.

Fierce Determination (Ex) At 6th level, a chevalier gains an incredibly stubborn determination. If he is affected by an enchantment spell or effect and fails his saving throw, he can attempt it again 1 round later at the same DC. He gets only this one extra chance to succeed on his saving throw (though this does not prevent him from using other means to break the effect, such as a rogue’s slippery mind ability).

Defender of the Weak (Su) At 8th level, as an immediate action once per round, a Chevalier can shield a number of adjacent allies equal to his Constitution modifier from a burst, cone, line, or spread effect that allows a Reflex saving throw and which he and his allies are all affected by. The Chevalier must forgo his own saving throw, but adjacent allies gain improved cover against the effect, providing a +4 bonus on Reflex saves and improved evasion against the effect.

Unbreakable Spirit (Ex) Once per day when a Chevalier would fall below 0 hit points he is instead reduced to 1 hit point.
