Hello everyone, I am going to be playing in a Pathfinder campaign soon and I am not that experienced with the Pathfinder system/ character creation. I am an experienced Dungeons & Dragons (3.5) player so the basic mechanics are not the problem. Its more to do with the feat selection, I have been searching around d20pfsrd reading over feats and classes and everything seems a bit more complicated than 3.5.

What I am trying to make is a character who specializes in using Daggers and throwing them (or throwing things such as alchemist fire/vials of acid).
Any suggestions on what class/feats I should take; we are also starting at level 3.

There's a lot of PF discussion over in the 3/3.5/d20 forum: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59

I would consider Rogue for a dagger-focused character, or Alchemist (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/alchemist) for getting to throw bombs, acid, and so on.

Well the obvious first step would be to go for Weapon Finesse with those Daggers, were you planning on multi-classing so you can manufacture your own alchemical missiles?

Page 135 of the Pathfinder core rules has the Throw Anything feat allowing a +1 bonus with thrown splash weapons ignoring the penalties for improvised ranged weapons which I suspect is probably high on your list of Feats you want for your character.

Do you see your character being dependent on buying his/her alchemical stuff or would at some point be able to make their own?

Are you familiar with the Tome of Secrets from Adamant Entertainment?
That has the Artificer class which might be of use to your character.

Hold on the Advanced Player's Guide for Pathfinder has the Alchemist and that feat is available to that class from first level if thats of any interest.

Don't have ultimate magic, anybody else care to lend a hand?

I'd recommend alchemist, whether you want to go with daggers or alchemical weapons.

A beastmorph (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/alchemist/archetypes/paizo---alchemist-archetypes/beastmorph) vivisectionist (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/alchemist/archetypes/paizo---alchemist-archetypes/vivisectionist) alchemist gets dexterity bonuses to patch its weak armor and middling attack bonus, sneak attack dice to make daggers credible melee weapons, abilities like flight and pounce to deal with normal melee limitations, poison use, and spellcasting to back it all up.

Focusing on grenade weapons, gnome mindchemist (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/alchemist/archetypes/paizo---alchemist-archetypes/mindchemist) can make a strong debuffer, or half-elf bramblebrewer (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/core-races/half-elf/bramble-brewer-alchemist-half-elf) locks the battlefield down hard.
