Abeil vassle LA+4 to much?

So you can fly, and abilities that are pretty much do nothing once you are out of level 2 or 3.


Why is the Abeil vassle such a high cost of ECL?

Because WoTC wouldn't know balance if it walked along a two mile highwire.

It probably went down something like:

+1 LA: Unbalanced ability scores (+2 Dex, +4 Wis, -2 Cha)
+1 LA: 60' fly speed
+1 LA: three natural attacks (claw/claw/sting)
+1 LA: poison

LA as a system is okay.

However, there are virtually no monsters anywhere that have the correct LA number listed in their stats. Some are too low, most are way too high.

The LA system's numbers are pretty screwed up.

I'd put it as +2 LA. It's still not as good as phrenic, though. :smalltongue:
