I'm in a bit of a rut lately, so if anyone wants character portraits, object designs, or environment designs for games or for anything else, I'd be delighted to help out.
Here's some of my stuff by way of example. Images are kind of big, so spoilers.

I must say, I LOVE that first one. The colors and everything just look so cool!
And if you're asking for something to draw, I've always kind of wanted a decent picture of my first RPG character (see avatar).
But now I'm off to find out what a hamatula is anyway.

(Your art is awesome)

Perhaps you could draw a wraith?

It's a type of devil (barbed, right?), if my repository of useless trivia serves.

I'm going to second Mr. Drexel here.
I'd be interested in how you interpret a malevolent intangible spirit.

And I really like the detailing on that bard.

Nice drawings. I have recently been looking for someone to draw a couple characters and such who are in the novel that I am currently writing. However I will come back later with more on that.

OoooOOOOOOOOHH! ME, PICK ME!
(Rolls diplomancy) OOOOOOOH, I GOTS A 4!
Anywho, My request:
The hell-fire red creature before you rises to a full 15
feet, its great, bat-like wings spreading to fill the altar
room. A look of utter contempt fills the handsome, yet
diabolical face as the blazing red eyes burn into your
soul. A pair of ebon horns crowns the bald head, while
black talons adorn the slender fingers. A serpentine tail,
tipped with a scaly tassel, dances behind the creature.
An aura of divine might suddenly radiates from its form,
joining the stench of brimstone and sulfur. Adjusting its
black robes with a regal gesture, the creature raises an
outstretched hand at you before a ball of flame bursts
from its palm. The creature laughs - a sound from the
depths of The Pit - and you glimpse fang-like teeth and
acrid smoke within the mouth before the fire melts your
eyes.

Patsy

Firstly, what kind of golem? There are like ninety different types in all those monster manuals.

Secondly, you can absolutely give me a hug, though I suspect you'd have to travel some distance to do so.
As for demogorgon, that's a good question. As one can see here (http://anyonespatsy.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/demon-doodles.html), I prefer to think of D&D demons as faceless and unknowable, in contrast to Devils.
For the Prince Of Demons himself, I prefer the stocky shape with the two mandrill heads and the overall reptilian look that artists have used in the last decade or so over the spindly, serpentine shape depicted in the Book Of Vile Darkness.
Since he inhabits a real of warm, diseased oceans and terrible jungles, I think he needs to look somewhat aquatic, but wild and powerful as well. It's a hard balance to strike, because if you want a character to have authority, you can't make them look too bestial, but if you want them to present a significant physical threat, they can't look too suave and sophisticated.
So yeah, I have no idea, though he is a favourite of mine. Consider that a thought-in-progress.

AKA- Tall, British/Irish looking man. With Red hair, black cloak, blue/black pinstripe suit. And a top hat with a red ribbon. Has slight look of insanity in his blue eyes. He carries his scythe made out of the bones of his ancestors across his back, and a long ebony blade, on the right of his waist easily accessible from his left hand

Hi! Could you draw a Faery for me? Aye, a faery: I'd need it for a thread of mine.
These (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14581132#post14581132) is the thread, and you can find in there the physicial description.

I'd like to have a male faery with dragonfly wings, with silver hair [with blue reflexes on them (if you can do it in colours, obviously)] combed like a crescent moon (y'know, the classical faery hairstyle) and green eyes. He should be in armour, something like these (http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRVJXgCWPfdx9nTs7ekvcYFWGOSxApJ6 g3ybpP3c5gA_xGcCZVzpz38Xm54) (without helm and shield) and using a two bladed sword like these (http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081122042842/inheritance/images/2/22/Double_sword.jpg)
If it's possible I'd like him to be in a dynamic position!

Could you do it please? :)

I have a request, too, for my Firefly character.

The captain of the Quipsy Queen and it's ragtag bunch of misfits.
He's an older man (maybe 40+, but age's not that important, just that he's not exactly young anymore) often wearing his old Browncoat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Browncoat), but of course without rank insignia or armor or anything like that. He's a tall man who once had the figure of a soldier, but has let himself go somewhat, but still trie to keep his black, greying hair somewhat orderly and military, which he doesn't quite manage on the civilian ship he runs.

He's a proud man, intent on doing the right thing, but the war and his personal failures have driven him to alcohole, which has ruined him to some extent, leaving him saddened, but always struggling. The war ALSO took his left leg, and he only has a second-rate prosthetic limb which in no way replaces his lost leg.

I envision him somewhere between Borchert's Beckmann (http://ais.badische-zeitung.de/piece/02/73/31/d8/41103832.jpg) and Starcraft's Jim Raynor (http://starcraft2.4fansites.de/bilder/heros/jim_raynor.jpg)
I'd be incredibly grateful if you could draw him, if you require more information, just ask away!

I have a request for one of my characters, actually - Locke. He's a Silverbrow Human Fighter wielding a greatsword and wearing sleek Banded Mail. He's about twenty-four years old and has a lean build, with a cleanshaven face and, like most Silverbrows, shoulder-length dark hair with light (silver) streaks/highlights. He... He kinda looks like a younger version of Valeros from PF or Adric Fell from the IDW D&D comic in different armor, now that I think about it. Hm.

As for his pose, he's probably hefting his greatsword over his shoulders with a calm, hopeful expression on his face.

The avatar's (and other coloured stuff, come to think of it) going to have to wait until I get a new version of photoshop, but it sounds pretty cool, so I'll get on that.

Wow, those are some nice pieces!

I'd like to request a character portrait (sadly, I'm not good with physical descriptions):

Carlin Hornear: a half-elf wizard/beguiler/ultimate magus. Lv 6, so fairly early in his career. Follower of Asmodeus. Light-ish skin, green eyes, dark hair. Had his (fairly long) ears branded when he insulted a prison warden (before he and his companions escaped and razed said prison.)

Stats (before items): Str 14, Dex 14, Con 16, Int 21, Wis 8, Cha 16.

Standard garb: an explorer's outfit. (which I always thought of as a set of clothing with removable layers (to allow for some adaptability between cold and hot weather conditions,) and alot of pockets.) Also has a hat (well, iron headband) of disguise, but I'm looking for his natural form.

5'7", 125 lbs is what I rolled for his dimensions.

If you can help me, that's great. If not, I understand. If you need more info, ask and I'll try to provide it.

In any case, thanks!

Your art looks fantastic! Can I request a character portrait too?

He's a human warlock, fights with Eldritch Claws (Claws of magical dark energy), and he's fairly tall. He has shoulder-length black hair, noble features (Defined, high cheekbones, strong jawline), and blue eyes. He has fair skin. He's muscular (18 strength), and most of the time wears dark clothing with a black cloak. He is 6'1" and 175 lbs.

It would be awesome to have a picture of him, and if you need any more information, let me know.

Well if you're still making character drawings, I could use one for my current Magus.

It's a male Tian-Min Tiefling Bladebound Kensai Magus in his late teens. Short white hair, pale skinned, a small pair of wings and a tail kept hidden under an outfit like the Shinigami from Bleach. His eyes have a red pupil and sclera, but a black iris. Off hand crackling with electricity. He's 5'5" and lean.

PrinceOfThieves
2013-01-28, 01:36 AM
If you still happen to be taking requests, I've got one. Taphimeral Jace. Male Tiefling, Monk/Wizard. Stands roughly 6 ft. Not overly musclular, but extremely cut. He wears a faded light grey robe, loosely belted around the waist. The robe has a cowl attached to it, but is not pulled over his head. The ends of the robe reach to his knees and his elbow, and are fairly frayed and worn looking. Underneath the robe, he is wearing loose fitting black pants that come down to his ankles. The robe isn't super baggy, but more like a modern day karate gi loosely closed at the waist, and the pants fit similar to the way a pair of regular slacks would. He has both his hands wrapped in cloth, like boxing handwraps, and simple leather boots the same color as his robe. As for the remaining physical features, he has wide, flat style horns that jut fromm the front of his skull and sweep back, following the curve of his skull, ending in sharp points just past his skull. He has thick, crimson colored dreadlocks streaked with black that hang loosely around his shoulders, down below his chest. He has cat style eyes, that are the color of his skin. Skin color is a dusky bronze. Imagine a bronze statue with a heavy shadow cast over it, and you have the skin color. The only items of note are a quarterstaff made of a crystal like material with threads of adamantine worked into it, a leather belt with a couple of spell component pouches on it, and metal bands a few inches wide on each wrist, over the hand wrappings. Hope that's enough detail for you. If you feel up to it, I'd appreciate it. If it matters, I really don't have a preference on color or black and grey. The rest of your art looks mazing, and I'd love to see what you come up with.

Wow, nice work! I could use some help. The reason being? The image I need doesn't exist. I'm playing a PC over on some other boards that has a kind of unusual race and armor setup:

Race: Incarnate Construct Lolth Touched Feral Dragonborn of Bahamut Warforged

Classes: Half Red Dragon Awakened Shield Guardian Monster of Legend

Appearance:
- Half Red Dragon Feral Warforged
- Wings
- Mechanus Armor (very Heavy)
- One long braid of hair with a braid blade on the end
- Hand and Wing Claws

If that is possible and somewhat colored (heavily monochromatic or shadowy is fine) you will make my 2013!

Patsy
2013-02-03, 02:04 PM
Yeah, what that person said. I can't see a picture, DrachenGlied.

I have three picture almost ready to post, so I'll get on that once my proper work is finished.

Also, some of these descriptions are a little hard to work with- for instance, Muktida, your character sounds super interesting, but it might be more clear to write something like 'bio-mechanical winged dragonborn in mechanical armour, with a red dragon sort of theme, and a sinister, spidery sort of look', since that's how I'm interpreting the race/class stuff so far.
But still, I feel like there's more I should know- I mean, does the character have a gender? What sort of a society does he/she exist in? Is he/she proud and imposing, or monstrous and sinister?
Left my own devices, I'd make it more feminine looking, because of the lolth thing, and style the figure in a neo-classical, over-the-top style, because that's what the unusual character choices suggest me me. As creator of the character, I assume you have opinions on this.

Also, Chilingsworth- I'm working on yours, but what exactly did you mean by 'branded' ears? Like, actually shortened, like a serious mutilation, or just pierced or marked by an iron as a sign of ownership, or what?

Muktidata
2013-02-03, 04:59 PM
Good point! Rrektor the Redeemed:

He is a hulking feral half red dragon Warforged. His strength and con scores are both 34 (900+ pounds are a light load) and his charisma is an 11. He lived much of his life enslaved as a personal guard to a high level wizard, but broke free during an assault on his childhood town where his conscience caught up with him (the wizard was CE and made Rrekor perform numerous acts of terror). He fled the area and flew for hundreds of miles until he fell, exhausted, onto a building in the middle of a giant city. The building was the headquarters of a group known as the brotherhood of redemption. They persuaded his alignment up to lawful good and he joined the brotherhood, a group that denounces the idea of inherent evil and seeks to convert evil beings. So he's a good guy with a generally good attitude. In battle he is strong but not vicious. He cares for the poor and weak, seeks the good in the bad, and is typically in a good mood.

He is actually Bahamut touched not Lolth touched. It was reflavored. He has two claws, a slam, two wings, and a bite attack. He just signed up for a hunger games style event that lasts for a year. His Sigil is that of his house affiliation (a nesting pelican and it's chicks). So:

-Bio Mechanical Half Dragon (love to see how you pull off a half dragon Warforged face)
-Happy or straight faced
-Mechanical armor, a braid with a braid blade, large claws, teeth, and wing claws
-Incredibly strong and stout for his size
-A civilized fantasy soldier theme with the symbol of he brotherhood of redemption on his clothing/armor
- skin/scales/wings red
- hair either red or black
- no clothing outside of armor and maybe a umm.. What's it called... It hangs between your legs like a frontal cloak thing.

Let me know if that helped or if you need more info and sorry for being horribly detail less in my first post!

Well, while he was being processed, the branding iron (a "F" for forsaken) which is usually used on the arm or cheek (he also got branded on the left bicep, but that would usually be covered by clothing)

Anyway, this branding iron was applied to his ears to punish him for mouthing off to the guard. That's all I know. Having never seen such an injury, I'm not really sure what it would look like.

Not quite the face I was picturing, I was thinking more normal looking, but the rest of it is pretty spot-on, thanks!

Sorry Miopic, didn't see you there. Yours is as not yet complete, along with Chilingsworth's, Lrdoftherngs', PrinceOfTheives' CinuZita's, GolemsVoice's and The LOBster's. Also a picture of Demogorgon for my own edification. I'll be slow with this till I get a new copy of photoshop.

As I say, requests will be done in an entirely arbitrary order.

Very nice on all three. The second one is my favorite. Very good capture of personality on his face. I can imagine talking to the guy.

THANKS! Man that's cool. Different from how I imagined him, but that's nothing bad. You're amazing.

Well, my wizard just became demonchow. :smallsigh:
(litterally: the demon chomped into his midsection, spent about three rounds slurping his intestines "like speghetti" then dropped the two halves of his body.)

So, uh... if you ever feel like drawing something horrific, feel free to use that.

I'm hesitant to ask for a pic of my new character.

For what it's worth: She's a 6' -ish redheaded bard/paladin (of Tyranny) wearing a mithril shirt. She wields a scimitar and uses her inspire courage through oratory. She also uses snowflake wardance.
In addition to her mithril shirt, she dresses practically (not fanservice-y). Although she certainly can do the latter if it suits her purposes. Just the battlefield (or out adventuring generally) isn't such a time.

Of course all this assumes you can resume drawing. Good luck with getting yourself able to do that, btw!

Well Mr. Patsy, I've got two requests for ya, the first very specific, the second very general.

The first one:
A muscular mutant woman lying on the bare wooden floor of a hotel room with bare wooden walls. Glass surrounds her, and the window is broken in the background. She's caucasian, dark haired, quite pretty even with her mutations. She also has eyestalks, tentacles, sharklike teeth, claws on her hands and feet, and three large membraneous tentacle-wings (Two on her left side, one on her right).

She's wearing nothing, but covering herself with a bedsheet hastily pulled from the bed in the room. She also appears to be wounded on the side and bleeding on the bedsheet and on the floor. There's a large black man in cowboyish garb (Ten gallon hat, plaid shirt, duster, boots, ect.) is coming towards her with a look of worry and deep concern on his face, as if trying to help her. But she's looking away from him in shame, as if she doesn't want him to see her like this.

The second request I have is anything you want to draw from this incomplete novel of mine (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=260071) (Which my first request is actually from in a far later as-of-yet-unwritten part) or this short story of mine (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=274887). Just take a quick look-see through 'em both and see what you like enough to draw, as I'd love to find out what you like enough about them to put to paper.

I hope the first request isn't too specific for ya, and the second one isn't too vague for ya. Also, if you can do a sort of cartoon-y style (Think Tex Avery or Hiroyuki Imaishi) relatively easily, I'd like 'em in that. Thanks!

are you still doing things, or have you moved on to something else?

I would like to have a drawing of a Dwarf and a Giant pictured as back-to-back teammates. Warhammer/Tolkien dwarf and something like a 8-feet giant, relatively proportionate.

If the giant looked young, it'd be perfect. The dwarf would be great if he was some veteran.
