smite to song and dove's harp?

I will soon be playing a paladin character. I was thinking a good source of healing would be a dove's harp. Overtime it'll pay for itself with infinite free hp. I'll be using the From Smite to song feat to activate Inspire Courage with no bard levels. Can I still use the dove's harp from MIC by RAW? It's not as if it would be game breaking if allowed IMO.

Seems reasonable and legal to me. I don't think you should have much of a problem with it being allowed, though a DM may rule that allies only are healed per use of bardic music.
