Behold the great and terrible powers of the internet!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0047E0EII

Now go to the reviews tab. Commence reading.

Warning: not safe for work since it will probably make you laugh so hard your boss will ask you what is so funny.

Too bad I can't remember some of the ones someone was posting on FB a few weeks ago. I think many of them were from the UK Amazon, I think for hair removal, they made for some very amusing reviews reading.

Doesn't work for me - link goes to a very bare-bones page with no formatting, and the links to the reviews don't work.

I think that's the point. Pretty sure it isn't a real product (or at least, it's a joke page for a real one). Seriously, do reviews titled "Saved my marriage" and "My 27 trained monkeys love this" NOT tip you off?

No, it's a real product. Joke reviews are a well established tradition on Amazon. The most (in)famous is probably the Three Wolf Moon tshirt.

What Helio said. Joke reviews are pretty much the only reason I go to Amazon.com :smalltongue:

Here (http://www.amazon.com/Hutzler-5717-571-Banana-Slicer/product-reviews/B0047E0EII/ref=cm_cr_dp_synop?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending#RPKQ4E5ML94FS)'s a better link for the joke reviews

Why are we not allowed to discuss bananas?

Uh oh, now you've done it! :smalleek:

One of my favorite Amazon review threads was for a $500 "audiophile" ethernet cable made by Denon (http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AKDL1-Dedicated-Link-Cable/product-reviews/B000I1X6PM).

"Transmission of music data at rates faster than the speed of light seemed convenient, until I realized I was hearing the music before I actually wanted to play it. Apparently Denon forgot how accustomed most of us are to unidirectional time and the general laws of physics. I tried to get used to this effect but hearing songs play before I even realized I was in the mood for them just really screwed up my preconceptions of choice and free will. I'm still having a major existential hangover."

Oh man, it even says it right there official mod-red text.

And given the nature of not even being allowed discuss verboten topics obliquely, we can't discuss certain farm methods either, sice plantation sounds like plantain. :smalleek:

But plantains are a distinct species from that which is banned...

My household is rife with smaller bananas. Is this a problem? I'm concerned that immature fruit may slip too easily through the slots.
