Today, I was introduced to the Pokemon Tabletop (http://forums.pokemontabletop.com/site/) game by a friend. We usually play D&D together every two weeks in a group consisting of me as the DM, with 4-7 players depending on circumstances, but he showed it to two of us and the other guy seemed enthusiastic about starting up a little game with it, and the friend who showed it to us said he wouldn't mind being the GM for this, as it's pretty easy to set something up quickly. (The fact that he's played all the games and has got an amazing memory when it comes to games probably help a lot too.)
So we started something up. My co-player decided to go for a Capture Specialist, since they specialize in Dex and Int and he liked the idea of having a ton of different 'mon, so I joined him with an Ace Trainer to complement his versatility with POWER!!
Because my co-player named his character Draven and joked about our characters being brothers, I decided to name my Ace Trainer Darius and the pact was sealed.
As the session came to an end almost an hour ago and I felt like doing something with it and give the character perhaps some extra depth and add something to the little campaign, I thought I'd start up this diary of his. The entry is pretty short, because while the session was four hours long, that was including character creation.

Darius is easily exciteable, headstrong, confident, charismatic and a bit of an idiot. He grew up in Azalea Town, where his and Draven's parents have a restaurant. As their parents were rather strict, they didn't allow them to venture off into the wild, wide world at the appropriate age, so instead they waited until they'd be adults, Darius being just patient enough for his brother to come of age a year after him. Finally being allowed to go, they venture into Ilex Forest, together with their Eevees, Shadow and Flame.
This... is their story.
Session 1
Holy 'karps, Joey! You'll never believe what happened today.
Remember I told you we would finally be allowed to go on our journey to become real men? Today was that day! Flame and I were so stoked that I nearly forgot to pack the stuff we'd gotten for the journey. Draven pulled me along to go see Kurt to get our Pokéballs, because he'd promised us some, but the old man still won't let me call him gramps! Anyway, we both got some and then left him alone again so he could go play with his nuts and make some more balls.
It was pretty dark in Ilex Forest, but I guess that's par for the course there. Y'know, the times we've gone through it were always with mom and dad, so maybe I just didn't really see it before. Of course, if it's dark, I guess you can't really see anything at all. Funny how that goes, ain't it?
But that's when it happened. Draven pointed at something a little off the path and when I looked, it was the most magical sight I'd ever seen.
Grass.
Moving.
There was so much movement, I dared think, there oughta be TWICE the amount of Pokémon in there! I ran towards the spot, stopped because I heard Draven yell something about releasing Flame from his ball first, so I did that and then ran further again. Oh boy, guess what we found there? A pair of mothertrippin' RADISHES! That's like an Oddish, except they're RAD! There was two of them too, so in my masterful move I took one of my balls and threw it at the nearest one of them like POW!
I gave the ball a staredown as the RADdish was sucked into it in a flash of red light until it gave that little "ping" noise I've heard so much about. Oh my god, that was awesome! I caught a RADdish! In one throw!
Man, I know you're the greatest, Joey, but I must be pretty darn close to your level of awesomeness if I can catch one of those in just one throw. For rizzle! I don't know why I wrote that, I'm sorry
Meanwhile, Draven was battling the other one with Shadow, but they seemed evenly matched, so I decided to help him out. Flame darn near tackled the thing into K.O.! Draven caught it though, so I guess we now both have one. I wonder what Pokémon we'll catch that'll be different from each other's?
Anyway, that's it so far for today. We stopped for a bit to have lunch. If more rad stuff happens, I'll let you know!

Darius named his diary, which he keeps secret from his brother, Joey, after the legendary celebrity trainer whose Rattata is in the top percentage of all Rattata.
