Hey I just realized this week BG went down and has been down for who knows how long, how long has that been going on I was wondering if anyone saved The no nonsense guide to psions, its about the only thing that got me to understand how manifesting works and why I can understand why people prefer Power points to the vancian system.

So did anyone save that guide or any others, I think they're good resources especially since sometimes a class entry in a book can look like a wall o' text (binders, ToB, etc.)

And if there is another thread on this let me know, went 5 pages back couldn't find anything.

All the currently rescued handbooks are on the rule of cool forums (http://www.ruleofcool.com/smf/index.php/board,19.0.html). It is a temporary safe haven for BG/MMB.

Didn't save it. Though what are you having trouble with? Personally I think the power point system is more intuitive than the vancian system.

Excellent and thanks, this hadn't turned up in my search yet.

I'm not having trouble any more (been playing a shaper/constructor since I read through the guide a few months back), thankfully I get it now, and you're right it is more intuitive and makes more sense thematically. Thank you for the offer though. I guess one thing I might have trouble with is figuring out if spending feats to get powers from other lists is worth it, but that seems like a personal preference, doing it for mindlink has been worth it.

Hehe, I usually do the reverse: Playing a Telepath with Astral Construct.

I saved the actual page on my computer some time ago; not sure how many edits were made after I DL'd it, but there's a lot of good info. You can download it here (https://www.dropbox.com/s/n8mztiy1jebaia9/PsionHandbook.zip). Maybe someone from Rule of Cool forums can post it there in actual thread form?

EDIT: I have a number of other saved BG guides as well... Let me know what guides are AWOL and I'll see if I have them.

Just go to the rule of cool forums - D&D subforum, and see what is missing, then repost.

Looking through my archives, I have a ton of useful BG stuff. I'll post it all when I get it sorted.

I remember seeing a consolidated list of spells. Spells of lower level than they usually are, with the right class. (Stuff like bard spells, Trapsmith, etc)

This was of tremendous help for my Chameleon. But now I need this list again to find some level 3 spells. I think it was on this website.

Does anyone have that?

BG had an absolutely amazing Planetouched Handbook which I'm trying to find. The Google cache version I was using is now MIA. If anyone has it or knows where I can find it, please say the word.

And does anyone know when either of those two sites are going up? Been a rough month or two for P&P RPG sites, what with BG, MMB, and Enworld all going down.

EDIT: Wayback has it here: http://web.archive.org/web/20111111095821/http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=6992.0

Chameleon Handbook

Does it contain the spells I mentioned above? Or did it simply contain a link to another guide? I don't remember.

It does have some spell stuff in it; not sure how thorough it is. Download the Chameleon Handbook (https://www.dropbox.com/s/uqwd57s49xx6foo/ChameleonHandbook.zip) here (I'll also include it when I figure out the best way to get stuff ported over to Rule of Cool).

There is a pretty good spellbook available on this page. Thank you.
