Regardless of power and utility, are there any items that you think are just really well designed?
For me, I'm really impressed by the PF item "troll styptic (www.archivesofnethys.com/EquipmentMiscDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Troll styptic)". It has twice the cost cost as a potion of Cure Light Wounds, but on average heals right around twice as many hit points, but carries an inherent risk when using it in combat. On top of that, it's non-magical. It seems like a nice bundle of tradeoffs.
