Combat
Ouroboroi are large venomous snakes that grip their tails in their mouths in order to quickly roll after prey. An ouroboros will charge opponents at every opportunity it can, then at the last moment release its grip on its tail and impale them with its venomous stinger.

Poison (Ex)
An ouroboros has a poisonous stinger that deals initial and secondary damage of 1d6 Con. The save DC for a large ouroboros is 11. The save DCs are Constitution-based.

Roll (Ex)
Once per hour, an ouroboros can move four times its normal speed (200 feet) when it makes a charge.

Anyone get the two references to ancient symbolism/American folklore?

I thought it was an australian myth to scare tourists, not american? At least the snake that bites its tail and rolls down hills.

I also found this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=13392901&postcount=681) rendition of what you're doing, just so you have a reference on another take of it. Not saying yours is worse or better, just giving someone else's rentition.

Nope sorry. Makes me want to shout "QUIT CALLING ME TINY LIKE AN INSECT!" though :D

Sorry, I guess it's Australian too. It's a hoop snake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoop_snake) renamed after the ancient Greek, Egyptian, and Medieval European creature/symbol the ouroboros (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ouroboros).

Edit: If you read the descriptions, Bhu's and mine are... very different. They don't share anything besides the name and being large-ish snakes.

I think the speed for a charge is a bit excessive but otherwise it looks okay. I've seen another version here: http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?244652-Fearsome-Critters-from-Lumberjack-Tales/page8&p=4620577#post4620577.

I thought it was fast too, but it's based directly on the cheetah's Sprint ability. I might scale it down some.

Wow that other person put a lot of work into their hoop snake.

Edit: The Roll ability is now only 200 ft, four times normal; that way they can still outrun runners (30*4 = 120 ft).
