There was one in the arms and equipment guide, it was a +3 bonus, dispelled force effects, and dealt +1d6 force damage, but I hear people talking about a different one that archers use on their bows. Where is it from and what does it do?

The archer component is from a web enhancement and stems from the item Hank's energy bow which functions as a composite longbow shooting arrows made of force and dealing force typed damage. (and it also allows powerattacks)

ven though it's a composite longbow, it does not have a strength rating: so does the bow auto adjust to your strength score (and confer it's bonus) or does it do nothing in the strength bonus part?

"energy bow acts as a +2 composite longbow that accommodates a user of any Strength."

I'd say that means you get to apply your STR score, whatever it is.
Since accommodate is stronger language than simply 'usable,' though some may disagree.

Look in the MIC. Page 35. Has it as a +2.

It also overcomes all DR and turns the arrows into force effects. It deals no extra damage, though.

This. It is the (second) best enhancement for a missile weapon (second only to Splitting... maybe).

The chakra bind for crystal helm that gives melee attacks the force descriptor. Would it do the same as force weapon enhancement/Hank's bow or is it just for incorporeal foes?
