So, here's what we're looking at:

true neutral Wood elf ranger 2

STR:18
DEX:20
CON:12
INT:6
WIS:8
CHA:8

skill ranks:
handle animal 5, knowledge (nature) 5, spot 2, survival 4

feats:
skill focus(handle animal)
track
rapid shot

I am planning on taking ranger to 4, then an other class (maybe rogue?) for a level, a 1-level dip in beastmaster with natural bond, then eventually find a way to take beast heart adept. for now, assume I can't change what I already have put down. All books are available, nothing evil, however

Thank you very much

What are you going for? Having a buff Animal Companion?

It looks like you're trying to go all-in on archery, so you'll probably want Precise Shot. Why did you take Skill Focus at first level, when you could have put it off for later?

yeah, the other guys in my group joke about that. I took it at 1st level mostly so I could have my 3rd level feat be more fun. No other reason, really.

The original idea was to go ranger 5/beastmaster 10, but I want it to be more interesting. I like the idea of a throng of animal companions, but that alone isn't really worth it to me. I'm up for any suggestions, really so long as it works with what I've already got

If you plan to do serious archery, you want Woodland Archer. It is fantastic.

that feat seems more a crossbow then a bow , even if says bow
