Over 9000!

So our group witch and barbarian got into it today. Long story short, the witch tried to fly away and the barbarian threw a dead greater nightmare at it. I figured it weighed 8000 lbs due to being a huge horse. Our barb had like a lift over head of 8400 and threw the horse at him. How much damage would that actually do?

According to Complete Warrior, an 8000 pound improvised object thrown at someone could do 43d6 damage. It has a range increment of 10' and you take a -4 nonproficiency penalty.

Also note that 8000 is in fact not over 9000.

Would that damage also allow for STR mod?

improvised weapons are, unless otherwise stated, 20/x2. if the barbarian has throw anything, really throw anything, or another focus on throwing, this can change.
