Does taking a 5 foot step count as one of the 2 move actions to activate the concealment from this feet? If not is there anyway this feat can be used to grant the concealment while still allowing a person to make an attack somehow? I know of the parting shot feat but that is only once per encounter.

Lighting stance (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/lightning-stance-combat---final)

It could be safely interpreted that the 2 actions needed to activate the feat could be a swift and move action. If you allow 3.5 edition material, then belt of battle and Travel devotion could do the trick.

A 5 foot step is not an action in itself, but can be taken between actions. Also you can't take a 5 foot step if you move (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Take-5-Foot-Step), making use of this feat close to impossible.

Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to take advantage of Lightning Stance while still attacking. The best way is to have a reliable method of getting an extra move action each round, but that's very hard to achieve unless your game uses Psionics.

For a psionic character it's much simpler to use thanks to the Hustle power. The Nomad capstone also makes this feat quite nice.

The problem with most characters would also be that even if you got that extra move actions, you'd still be limited to 1 attack/round, which would be pretty weak. It would therefore be best on a caster character, who only needs standard actions anyway (another reason why psions excel at using this feat).

A Lightning Stance abusing Nomad Psion.

Sounds like a pretty annoying enemy to deal with, especially with accompanying buffs and Astral Construct support (Which every Psion should have regardless of whether it burns a feat to obtain).

Now get +11 B.A.B as a psion :smallamused:
Although if the (Illithid) Slayer class is retained in Pathfinder, it should be doable at ECL 15, and certainly easier an a psychic warrior.

I believe they've got a Psion Gish there somewhere.

A 5-foot step isn't an action, but taking one generally prevent you from moving anyway, so it's a bit of a moot point.

It's not a terrible feat, but it's pretty limited. It sort of gives you a better version of total defense.

Or the Words of Power alternative magic system. Specifically, if your party has a caster who knows the Accelerate (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/words-of-power/effect-words/accelerate) power word.
