Are there any arachnid or beetle-like races that are available to players?

Think the Nerubians from WoW or Stun from Bloody Roar. Thri-Kreen but less mantis/grasshopper-y

Diopsids from Dragon Compendium are beetle-like.

The Chitine from Underdark (not Drow of the Underdark) are four armed spider people. 2HD and +2 LA.

Yes there is one from the FR Underdark book.

Also there's the arachnid template from the same book. It is 3.0 FYI.

aranea, monster manual. at LA+4, they're a tough pill to swallow, but they are there, and should be mentioned.

ECL 7, but that does include 3 levels of sorcerer.

magical beast rhd with equal level sorc casting. the rhd isn't so bad, it's the LA that's a problem.

Dromite are arthropod-like. They are more humanoid than the others, but only +1 LA.

Not cool ECL-wise, but I believe there was a beetle-type race called crucians from the Sandstorm supplement. Totally unclear why their favored race is druids, but they have some pretty cool stats for martial characters.

I think crucians are turtle based.

The only reference to other animals in their entry seems to be to crabs, an in "their crab-like shells." More insectoid than turtle-like. The pic furthers this, as turtles don't have plating on their legs.
