I've wanted to play this class (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/a-b/brightness-seeker) for a while, and it could still be a while before I can, but in the meantime, I can play around with the concept.

Druid is a fairly natural fit (I like the idea of combining it with the Reincarnated Druid Archetype). However, it would be five levels of casting lost.

So I look at fighter.

Lore Warden/Savage Warrior looks interesting.
Elf
Str 14
Dex 16
Con 11
Int 16
Wis 12
Cha 14

Level 01: Fighter 1. Weapon Finesse, Fey Foundling
Level 02: Fighter 2. Dodge
Level 03: Fighter 3. Iron Will
Level 04: Fighter 4. Power Attack, +1 Str.
Level 05: Fighter 5. Toughness
Level 06: Brightness Seeker 1.
Level 07: Brightness Seeker 2. Eldritch Claws
Level 08: Brightness Seeker 3.
Level 09: Brightness Seeker 4. Shaping Focus
Level 10: Brightness seeker 5.
Level 11: Fighter 6. (Fighter feat?) Planar Wild Shape
Level 12: Fighter 7.

Lore Warden gets some has a nice CMB, so it'd probably make sense to grab a Improved (blank) feat, but I wouldn't know which one.

My biggest problem with this build, though, is "What am I doing as a savage warrior before level 7?" At level seven, with one hour of meditation, I get claw/claw/bite. Until then, do I just run around going "Rawr!" batting at them with an open hand (but not an attack because I don't have improved unarmed strike) and then stabbing them with a short sword?

Would it make more sense to go Barbarian even if I don't really care for the rage mechanic?

I'm looking at a Barbarian right now.

With the Beast Totem route, if I wild shape into a deer, do I still get claw claw bite when raging?
