So I'm new to the Pathfinder system, and very fond of Melee fighters. I was looking at feats, and am I right when I see that, essentially, a fighter with Pathfinder's Great Cleave and Geat Finishing Cleave can pretty much cleave forever as long as his attacks hit, he occasionally finishes a guy off, and is surrounded?

even with great cleave he can only hit each adjacent enemy once, although if he finishes anyone off greater cleaving finish starts again from one :smalltongue: at least thats how my dm runs it, ymmv

Not really.

Cleave in Pathfinder is a standard action, so you can only perform one per round, and cannot make iterative attacks. Great Cleave allows you to continue to make attacks against adjacent foes, as long as you hit each time. However, you cannot hit the same oponent twice with one cleave.

(Great)Cleave and (Greater)Cleaving Finish stack fine.
You hit two guys with cleave. Each guy that you drop gets cleaving finish.
You hit five guys with GCleave
GC hits #1
GC downs #2, GCFinish hits #3
GC downs #3, GCFinish downs #4, GCF hits #5
GC hits #5
