Hi all, this is my first time posting but i've been lurking here for ages.

I had a moment of inspiration and created a biotic adept base class and was wanting some feedback. I based it off a warlock using DND 3.5 rules, what do you guys think?

BIOTIC ADEPT

Hit die

d6
Skill points

4 + Int

Profficiencies
Light armour, no shields, simple weapons, arm blade

saves and BAB as per warlock

Wearing medium, heavy armour or having arms restricted from movement will impede the adept from using the complex biotic powers. Only the personal range biotic powers will work if encumbered.

At any point the adept is able to gain a feat, he is able to take an extra power instead

Adept at level 1 gets a mage hand like ability as a spell like ability

Ranked powers require a certain level to purchase according to this table:
rank 1 - requires biotic level 1-5 or under

Powers with green writing are tier 3 powers with no requirements
Powers with orange writing are tier 2 powers with 1 other requirement

A few questions:

What is an Arm Balde?
What are this classes class skills?
Do powers scale automatically, or must each rank be purchased as a separate power?
What other class features does this class receive? Damage Reduction? Cha to AC? Cha to saves? Mettle? Evasion? Fast Healing??
Also, this link: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10313 will be a great source for your table and formatting needs as your current format is somewhat difficult to read. Peace, and chicken grease!

A table would be really, really, really, nice. I do like the color coding though. Perhaps bolding the entry as well would add to the readability?

I like the idea. However, I have some nitpicks:

1) What is the level progression?
2) What are the class skills?
3) What do ranks in abilities mean?

Mass Effect started as a tabletop RPG so it's basically already designed to be put down in d20 or d6.

That being said, I'm wondering why you gave your Adept a Biotic Charge ability instead of saving it for the Vanguard.

Also, I'd abandon the color system and just include a note about which tier each one was in. But that's a personal preference and not really critical to the character.

Seems interesting but as said above a table would be nice. Also could you explain the abilities in more detail?
