The official Roy fan club

Well it seems that Elan, Thog, and Miko have been getting all the attention lately, so I'm starting a Roy fan club, rise up my fellow Roy fans, hold your head up high in the knowledge that you stand, for Good, Law, and general sanity.
If you like Roy post here, tell why you, like him, and together my brethren we shall build a thread worthy of legend. Or maybe I'll just have a thread which no one ever posted on.

I'd be more inclined to say that without Roy, there would be no OOTS.

Elan may be the soul of the party (as Durkon said), but Roy is the brains and the backbone. He is the one the story is, ultimately, about.

yup, roy is not only the one that somehow keeps the party together (a party that actually tries to kill each other sometimes like V and B) but the one that gives it purpose.
Sometimes he reminds me of cyclops of x-men (usually when he's being an ass)

Also Roy's club does not dicriminate between fans, anyone can join they just have to want to. So a Miko fan is just as welcome as an Elan fan.

I really fail to get the antagonism between "pro this character" fans and "pro such-and-such" fans. Seriously, WTF is up with that?

(pseudo) Hat(e)ing people for no good reason? I find it fun. Like a football match between two neighboring institutions of education.
Actually, in my case I'm just severely peeved of with all the unfair hating on Miko and with Roy treating her like dung and wish to turn it into something positive which it has (possibly adding fuel or sparking a light bulb for this thread as well a thread for Mihonese accomplishments of super friendliness!) and at the same time turn the negative with a judo-toss of strength back at the OOtS party. Mostly it's just fun though. ;) I can turn it down a notch, ok I will. I was done anyway (though I'm still Coreographer for the Miko fan club) so it means nothing on my part.

It's just that some of the time I can't help but feel that the "such and such sux" is more than just fun banter, that's all.

Well we all have feelings about certain characters, personally Miko bugs me but I don't care what other people feel about characters and so will not be starting or continuing threads whose sole purpose is to insult a character.

We can all say how we feel about a character but we shouldn't ever be mean to another poster because they disagree.

Well, I think Roy is quite the fighter and protagonist normal guy, he could use a fan club, he got a bit few votes on ULTRAPOP! and he is ultimately a hero.

I'll leave you gentlepersonell alone now.

Of all of characters, I identify with Roy the most, followed only by Durkon. Conscientious, principled, willful, courageous, self-driven, clever, knowledgable. A man who can make the world a better place.

Roy is the character every party needs. Smart, educated, able to talk more than four words without becoming arrogant/aggressve/insulting/insane. He also keeps a clear head in batle, doeas some damage, and is actualy interested in advancing the plot for other reasons than becoming powerful or to kill something painfully.
