satisfaction with NPC generators.

i'm looking at some of the NPC generators programs, as well as pre-genned NPCs for PF and 3.5; I was wondering how satisfied people are with the currently available NPC generator programs.
I know PF has a nice supply of pre-genned NPCs; I don't recall such a source in 3.5, though there may be one somewhere I don't know about. Do these pregens work out handy in play?

I'm not too familiar with what's out there, just what I see from doing google searches; so I'm wondering what the people here have to say.

I'm not familiar with generators. But PF Gamemastery Guide has a good selection of various NPCs. And NPC Codex has NPCs from 1-20 in all core and NPC classes, as well as some in core prestige classes.

I haven't looked at the link that closely, but really I like what's in print, and I think this is similar(or even the same).
