Best ranger spells

What do you guys think are the best ranger spells? im having trouble finding many descent ones so what are the best? thank you in advance

Hunter's eye is a pretty good spell for a ranger.

In Core, Entangle and CLW are always good options, so is Freedom of Movement. There's also a lot of great archery spells in other sources (CAd/SpC and CoR) and some gems like Swift Haste and the Polymorph subschool spells.

Impeding stones (Cityscape) is better than entangle.

Big fan of blades of fire (Spell Compendium). TWF + wand chambers FTW.

Also: instant of power (Forge of War).

Hunter's Eye, Lion's Charge (Pounce) and Freedom of Movement.

Being able to cast Cures, Delay Poison and Neutralise Poison is useful for Wands/Scrolls.

Forest Fold and Camouflage are useful, but you shouldn't really need them.

Camouflage, Mass and Easy Trail are useful for taking a party through the Jungle.

I like Hunter's Mercy, something nice to do on a surprise / partial action round.

Getting Resist Energy as a level 1 spell (and thus being able to re-cast w/ 1000 gp pearls of power) is pretty sweet, IMO.

Embrace the Wild and Listening Lorecall give nice additional senses.

Fell the Greatest Foe for a melee ranger can really help to ginsu a big monster fast.

Find the Gap is nice if you have a sensible DM that banned Wraithstrike (otherwise it's crap as Wraithstrike is lower level, fast to cast, and benefits a full attack; but wraithstrike is broken, so...).
