After reading another thread about these guys, I find myself interested in learning a little bit more about them. For starters are they in any other books other than the brief decription of them in Shining South? Looking mostly for roleplaying type things and how one might act, along with things like their age brackets Adult, Old age, and venerable type stuff.
Also a more mechanical type question: in the entry it states that they may weild a weapon using their tail, and have their full attack listed as Full Attack: 2 claws +5 melee, Bite +3 melee, and short sword +3 melee. From this entry it seems the book is counting the short sword via the tail as a natural attack?
But could they instead use their tail as their initial attack using a weapon with their BAB then use the claws and bite as secondary natural attacks? For example: Short Sword +15/+10/+5 , 2 claws +13, and bite +13
* they have multiattack as a bonus feat
