So lets say you have a Conjuration specialist that has banned Necromancy as one of his schools (I know silly right? But hey it happens) and the Wizard wants to cast a spell that is both from the Conjuration and Necromancy school.

Kelgore's Grave Mist is both Conjuration and Necromancy. So is this a valid spell for the above referenced wizard or because it is part Necromancy the wizard can't prepare or cast this spell? Of perhaps since it is of both schools, it can be prepared as one or the other...Hmm

I'm away from my books, specifically PHB II where this may be addressed.

Any help will be appreciated :)

The dual school description explicitly mentions that id one of the two schools is banned, then the spell is unavailable. Of course, there exist feats to regain lost schools of magic, but that's neither here nor there.

That is what I thought, thanks!
