Well, maybe it does...

So anyways, I've been wondering how many different creatures and races out there have negative reactions to our friend illumination beyond simple light sensitivity and blindness. This is mostly so I can determine a baseline for some homebrew stuff that is... in need of simplification.

Nightshades have light weakness.

Vampires are vulnerable to true sunlight (and the Sun Devotion feat), and spells that specifically work to create light that does more damage to light sensitive undead.

Spectres have something called Sunlight Powerlessness.

Wraiths have the mysteriously similar, but not quite, Daylight Powerlessness.

In short, lots of undead.

Dusk giants? Did they have a sunlight weakness? I think they are from Heroes of Horror.

There are a couple of other "bump in the night"-type critters out there that have something of this sort. Fihyrs? Vasuthaunts? Troglodytes?

Some of the kuo-toa related critters may have it, too. How about skum?
