So I was leafing through Complete Arcane and came across the Wu Jen class. It got me thinking about making an Oriental campaign setting. However, I know that Pathfinder is very similar to 3.5 DnD and has sone many things better than 3.5. Is there a Pathfinder equivalent to the Wu Jen class? The closest I've come across seems to be the Oracle class, in terms of theme. Is there a better representation?

What specifically are you looking for?

-Oriental theme?
-Elemental casting theme?
-Strange Taboos/practices?
-Mastery of specific spells (Spell Secret)?

Oriental theme and element theme. More specifically I'd like to have the five classical Chinese Elements: earth, fire, water, metal, wood.

Have you seen Paizo's Elemental Arcane Schools? (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/arcane-schools/paizo---arcane-schools/elemental-arcane-schools) These follow the chinese elements (and even includes the Shugenja's Void.)

I had not seen these, no. This pretty much suits my needs. Thanks!

You could also look here (http://www.myth-weavers.com/showthread.php?t=176854) for an attempt to port the Shugenja to PF rules.

The wizard also has a couple of third-party Japanese-flavored archetypes available on d20pfsrd.com--the horimyo (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/archetypes/rite-publishing---wizard-archetypes/horimyo) and onmyoji (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/archetypes/rite-publishing---wizard-archetypes/onmyoji). Not really the same thing, since Wu Jen is (supposedly) more Chinese-flavored, but I'm not sure how specific the flavor you're looking for is.

There's an oracle (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle#TOC-Mystery) mystery for each of those elements: Stone ("earth"), Flames, Waves, Metal, Wood. Each mystery consists on additional themathic spells known, class skills and around 10 different abilities to choose from.
