I am looking for ways to incite panic and stunning the lasts more than one round (or ways to get either as a swift action) for a Pathfinder sneak attacker. Why? because this feat
(http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/dastardly-finish-combat) makes cowering and stunned foes vulnerable to coup de grāce. Now, I don't plan for this to be my only trick, but it's a good one nonetheless, if I can find ways to pull it off. Stunning Pin might be one way, but a 3/4 BAB isn't going to be the best grappler.

The fear (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/f/fear) spell is the obvious one. You could get a wand of it and UMD, which should be reliable by 9th level when you could get the dastardly finish feat. The save DC could be an issue though.

I don't see how greatclubs or quarterstaffs are going to help this build.:smallconfused:

Because animals of all kinds already have ample reason to cower in the presence of Teddy Roosevelt.

What, would they flee in awe of his support of the conservation movement?

If you have 3.5 material, Imperious Command (DotU) + any of the feats in PF which let you Intimidate on a melee attack.

Do a google image search for "Teddy Roosevelt Hunting." Or read this article. (http://www.cracked.com/article_15895_the-5-most-badass-presidents-all-time_p5.html)

Conservationists and hunters have a lot of overlap. Whether or not you think it's cruel, hunting is an outdoor activity that's generally believed to be better in a pristine wilderness with healthy animal populations.

Sadly, Pathfinder Material only.
OK, the fear spell, duh, could work for an Arcane Trickster. Any suggestions for stunning?

...the Monk's stunning fist ?
I know I mentioned this is almost certainly sarcasm, but that only lasts until the next round, so won't help me coup de grāce.

Well, Enforcer causes enemy to be intimdated to be shaken or frightened (on a crit) when hit with nonlethal (duration-damage dealt).

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/enforcer-combat

Fear + Enforcer = frightened or panicked on a Crit? Even on a save, they stack.

Fear doesn't stack in PF. I'll get a link once I'm back on my computer.

Edit: Nevermind, they must have changed it since I last checked.

Something which I noticed when discussing a rage prophet; If you have a level of barbarian you can use this helm (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/h-l/helm-of-fearsome-mien). You should then be able to take an Extra Rage Power feat to get Terrifying Howl, which panics shaken enemies.

For stunning, there's a bunch of spells which stun for one round. There's a 3rd party metamagic feat (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/3rd-party-feats/rite-publishing/metamagic-feats---3rd-party---rite-publishing/shocking-spell-metamagic) which adds save or stun one round to any damaging spell (sound burst, say). If it stacks with sound bursts' 1 round stun rather than overlapping that's 2 rounds of stun.

Edit: both of these are check with your GM before committing to them, IMO.

Color spray works in terms of stunning.

For a character who is at least 9th level and wants 2+ rounds of stun, not so much. Color spray only does that to targets with 4 or less HD.

If you want someone CDG'd at 9th level, and will need him to fail a [Mind Affecting] Will save anyway, why not cast Hold Person/Monster so someone else can finish him before he gets to save again?
