Hello,
is it possible to obtain more invocations with the human paragon, uncanny trickster PrCs instead the only warlock class ?

If yes, what is the progression ?

Thanks for your future help.

Any class that advances your caster level will give you more invocations. So yes, both of these will, 2/3.

Uncanny Trickster will actually advance all your Warlock class features. So you will more damage reduction, more fiendish resilience, get closer to Imbue Item etc.

Ok. But more invocations than a character with only warlock class ?

No, you will advance more slowly - both Human Paragon and Uncanny Trickster lose a caster level.

Using Human Paragon (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/racialParagonClasses.htm#humanParagon) as an example - A Warlock 5/Human Paragon 3 has a character level of 8, but it has Warlock progression of 7. So it will be one level behind a Warlock 8, and therefore be one invocation behind.

Because warlock invocations only advance at a rate of 3/5 it is actually possibe to get ahead of the curve, by taking prestige classes which grant a feat at level 1.

You can spend the feat to get extra invocations, but they will be weaker than your maximum, so yes you can get more invocations, unfortunately you're gimping yourself in the process.

e.g half elf paragon 1 + human paragon 1 gets you slightly ahead of the curve.

If I remember correctly, Complete Arcane states that any PrC capable of advancing "arcane spellcasting" can instead advance warlock caster level, invocations, and eldritch blast damage. Each level counts as a level of warlock for all of those things, which isn't bad in some cases, though at best it's "full warlock plus other stuff" rather than "faster warlock".

The only trick is that you have to get your warlock to qualify for those classes. That same section sadly states that invocations do not qualify as "ability to cast __ level arcane spells", so its dipping-o-clock unless you happen to have a PrC that asks for "arcane caster level __" as its requirement.

Alternately, you can take levels in prestige classes that advance spellcasting but don't require spellcasting to enter the class, such as the ruathar or dragonslayer.
