It looks like in the next campaign I will be playing the Druid of the party. As I know very little about them, I was wondering if there are common pitfalls I should avoid, archetypes that are better than others, races optimal to the druid playstyle, must have feats/spells etc.
The group I currently play with does not optimize their characters, so I will not likely be going for a one-man army, but I wanted to know what the Playground recommends for someone new to Druids.
EDIT: The campaign will also be taking place in Madagascar and eventually greater Africa. I'm planning on being thematically tied to the region somehow as well.
