Whoo! Chaos!

Errant seems to be busy, so I'll handle the bookwork here. Last thread gave 10 days for voting, so let's say voting ends March 6 at midnight central time. Make three votes in priority of your favorites and I will rank them accordingly (1st place gets 3 points, 2nd place gets 2 points, and 3rd place gets 1 point). The one at the end with the most points wins. Pick your three once and do not change them please, and if you could, Bold your selections and give a little bit of reason as to why you liked the class.

We could have a long, drawn out argument about whether or not to DQ Shadowsaint of the Bladesworn for not having an 'NPC Reaction' section but I'd rather just let it in. Of course, if Errant says you're out then you're out, and votes for you will have to be re-assigned which could be a mess. So be it.

Anarchic Conjurer by WaylanderX - An effective, simple, and widely-applicable adaptation of an interesting concept where a lot of the others were really complicated and/or esoteric. I like the ability to on-the-fly enhance summoned chaos elementals and some of the other abilities look cool too. The entry was among the more complete; I particularly like the sample encounter which a lot of the other entries I liked didn't have.
Farchaos Realmshaper by Zelkon - This one gets a vote for sheer ambition, despite the fact that the alterations lists look incomplete. An interesting idea and a lot of class abilities to support it. Also a more direct tie to chaos than a lot of the entries had and fairly complete fluff section.
Shifter of Elements by Morph Bark - This entry probably would have been my first choice if it were more easily accessible, but I'm not familiar with the spell shaping alternate system, I had to run a search to find it, and a brief look wasn't enough to really understand the class well. But I liked the fluff and thought things looked interesting enough to merit a vote.

1. Shattered Soul - True work of mastery. It would have been real easy to make a boring Multiple Personality class, but a lot of heart, effort, and creativity went into this one.

2. Mad Genius - What can I say? I have a weakness for theatrics, and a class that looks as much fun to play as it did to write.

3. Farchaos Realmshaper - I will always vote for random mutations. Always.

Executioner of Bedlam: by SirPerceval. I love the random tables and otherwise random effects. I love the class it builds on as well, so maybe I'm biased.
Shattered Soul: By Mephibosheth. It's a elegant piece of work, and it'd be fun to play. Maybe a bit OP, but who am I to talk. Cool factor: Over 9000.
Farchaos Reamshaper: Ok, I promised I wouldn't vote for my own creation , but I designed exactly the class I wanted to play in every way. It's accessible by all the core classes really easy, and most non-core too. It's insanely overpowered, but I had so much fun that I just had to vote for it. Sue me.

How is it OP? Any suggestions on how to rein it in? Except for very brief windows, only one soul splinter can be active. So at any given time, its just like they're a normal single-classed character. And they can't normally control which soul splinter is dominant, so it's not like they can choose the best splinter for the day's challenges.

Anarchic Conjurer: Highly polished, widely applicable, and actually cares about familiars!. Very good entry overall.
Farchaos Realmshaper: Gotta love Far Realms material, and like Mephibosheth said the scope of the new subsystem is impressive on its own.
Adept of Loki: This is basically a wild mage done right, and the humor in the writeup is well done.

And they can't normally control which soul splinter is dominant, so it's not like they can choose the best splinter for the day's challenges.

The OP-ness comes from being able to have two splinters active at once and being able to use another splinter's ability a few times per day, which can be very powerful if built right. For instance, you could make a soul splinter whose splinters are a wizard, a psion, a beguiler, a factotum, a warblade, a duskblade, and an Int-based monk (Kung Fu Genius etc.); you're highly Int-focused so your dual consciousnesses are SAD, a combination of any two of those classes would make a decent to good gestalt build, you can dip into any of the caster's lists a few times a day to get the perfect spell for the situation or dip into psion to nova, and you have incredible versatility for "downtime" days when you're exploring, crafting, etc. and can wait for the right class to come up.

You'd have to build for that specifically, though, if you go with more MAD classes and/or more varied classes that wouldn't be so problematic, and since it already relies on a lot of DM oversight it's not going to be a problem 90% of the time. Once voting is closed you might want to put some restrictions on the splinters to enforce variety--mandatory mental stat rearrangement, limiting how many splinters you can have of the same "type" (arcane caster, skill monkey, etc.), and similar--so you're more like a jack-of-all-trades chameleon than a gestalt monstrosity, but it's not strictly necessary.

1. Shattered Soul
Awesome flavor, way cool theme.
2. Executor of Bedlam
I always enjoyed ToB and the random elements are neat.
3. Anarchic Conjurer
Interesting class, I enjoy arcane casters.

1st - Farchaos Realmshaper. Even incomplete, this fits the theme best, and is awesome besides.

2nd - Anarchic Conjurer. Wild summoner? Great flavor, great execution.

3rd - Shattered Soul. Amazing flavor, but mechanically, this treads a slippery slope. Could break the game.

Honorable Mention: Shifter of the Elements. Extremely solid mechanically, nice flavor... but doesn't fit the theme as well, IMO.

Dishonorable Mention: Adept of Loki. I almost didn't do this, but I just have to. First of all, lemme say that I like the fluff, it's amusing... but what does any of that have to do with Loki? And then, mechanically... this makes my eyes bleed. There's no way to build a character with this, it's just lolrandom "let's write a bunch of crap on the char sheet and see what happens!". And, you have a class feature that uses a d30?

Anyway, I can see that you put a lot of work into it, but I just don't think it's a playable class. All it's missing is "every action you take is decided by a die roll".

1st- Anarchic Conjurer: Just plain cool.
2nd- Farchaos Realmshaper: 3 ways to enter a PrC is very interesting, and I like that a lot.
3rd- Adept of Loki: d30 is best d.

Oh, just the sheer versatility of it. Swingy, really. I don't know how to fix it without destroying the flavor, but it's really cool.

The bad news is that your vote is too late. I'm sorry.

The good news is that it wouldn't have changed the top spots anyway. Thanks everybody for participating. We had some really off the wall classes here, which personally I think is pretty cool.

1st Place:Anarchic Conjurer, by a single point.

2nd Place:Farchaos Realmshaper, an entry put in near the end of the writing period.

3rd Place: Shattered Soul, a class that doesn't have a BAB entry on its table.

Errant gets to choose a favorite, as usual.
