La 0-2 Templates to increase charisma and or inteligence

I'm building a gestalt character for fun who has 2 primary attributes intelligence and charisma. I am locked into playing a human so no primordial half giant. I'd prefer charisma templates more since I'm playing up 1/2 the gestalt more and using the spells of the second half more to buff. But hey, I'm not going to complain about more intelligence :smallwink:.

You may be interested in the magic-blooded template from Dragon 306, which is LA +0 and gives you +2 Charisma, -2 Wisdom, some skill bonuses and some minor spell-like abilities 1/day.

Magic Blooded, from DM 306, gives +2 Charisma in exchange for -2 Wisdom.

Evolved Undead Necropolitan: +1LA for +2CHA. Note that you become an undead as well.

Evolved Undead +1LA for +2CHA. Obviously, you'll have to be undead first, but you can do this with 0LA via Necropolitan.

I'd certainly do that if it didn't go against my character concept :smallfrown:.

Phrenic creature gives +2 int +4 cha among other stuff for 2LA.

Saint gives +4 cha and alot of other powerful benefits for 2LA, has some serious rp requirements though.

Draconic creature gives +2 cha and some minor benefits for +1 LA.

Saint gives +2 wis as well so you get a little help withit.

The best +1 LA for intelligence that I know of is Half-Giant (+1 LA) with Primordial Giant Template (+0 LA). It comes out with the stats of -2 Str, -2 Dex, +4 Int, +4 Cha. Primordial Giant can also be applied to Eneko and Half-Ogre if needed.


The Savage Species Progressions (https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20040213a) website is a very useful resource for templates. The +1 LA version of the Half-Fey is pretty impressive if you don't want to go with a full +2 LA on a character.
