Reverse Engineering A Greensnake Naga

So am looking over the stats for the greenskeen naga (oriental adventure)

Str 12, Dex 14, Con 14,
Int 13, Wis 12, Cha 11

Looking over this, does that make it have the stats of

+1 str +2 dex +2 con +1 int + 1 wis?

As I understand it: If the number is odd, subtract 11. If the number is even, subtract 10. Then you have the racial modifiers of a race.

Therefore, that's +2 Str, +4 Dex, +4 Con, +2 Int, +2 Wis, and no charisma modifier.

Sorry was thinking in bonus numbers, not real stats XD

So that would give the critter all that plus posiion attack, cool body shape, alternative form to look fully human , VERY limited telepathy

All for +1 LA

Yep. It was updated in a Dragon Magazine to be weaker, though. I forget the exact changes, or which issue of Dragon they were in. If you don't use Dragon and your DM approves it though, it's very worth it for that LA, kinda strong.

That said, there are a number of other +1 LA templates/races that make this look tame, so mileage may vary as to whether this is too strong for your game or not.
