Hey all.
I would say I understand the rules of 3.5 pretty well, having played many a D&D sessions, along with playing NWN2 (and spending days making character builds). But when it comes to tabletop D&D I generally stick to combat builds without much spellcasting. The few times I have I would just use damage-spells like fireball.
I'm thinking about starting a caster-class, like a wizard or psion, and I need some advice on spells/powers, as well as tactics. Just to get a feel of the kind of tactics that work.
I find some spells a bit lackluster, and a waste of a spell slot and turn.
What kinds of spells/powers should I be looking out for? And can you suggest any neat tactics both inside and outside of combat.
Any help would be awesome.
