I am not very familiar with the "dark" books and classes. Was hoping someone could recommend me a template for a "really evil SOB".
Preferably human. I just dont think ill be able to role play a lich or zombie too well. (But maybe i can just say that he looks differently due to some spell or some such)

I just have an idea for an evil character to play, but no idea how to build if only because all the evil spells look so tasty.

Feel free to offer things that may be somewhat OP as the DM said he will balance for that. Such as having a great Vampire hunted by vampire slayers and such.

Tainted Scholar fits "OP and evil" to a tee. It gets pretty gross too.

If you don't have Heroes of Horror, you can use Tainted Sorcerer (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/campaigns/taint.htm#taintedSorcerer) as a poor man's substitute.

There are a lot of ways to do "Evil Caster", since it's such a broad category. What sort of evil magicks do you want him to work?

Tainted scholar isnt as good on an non-undead, and on an undead its so good it will break any game (think of what you can do with unlimited spells and DCs... No way any DMs will balance around THAT)

On the dark side, you have the very nice Dread Necromancer, also from Heroes of Horror. Lets you make your own undead bataillon, and you also have a bunch of cool spells to go with it.

If you want to be undead but not a Lich or Zombie, there's always Necropolitan. All the fun of being undead with none of the "special diet" or LA baggage.

As for evil spells, I've always wanted to try Avasculate.

Anyone has a link to maybe a guide on how to build dread necromancer?

P.S as a bonus question, is there a site or some such where I can look up all existing classes and their brief description? I know they can't post any of their abilities and such, but maybe the name, shoes description and the nook they are found in?

This website is wonderful for archiving that stuff.

You could in theory pick up Dark scholar in as little as 5 levels correct?

Say 5 Levels of Wiz/Sorc/Anything arcane and then boom the rest Dark Scholar.

There is a lot of hideously horrific things that a sociopathic Enchantment specialist can get up to, as well. They mostly don't have that instant squick, but they can be very insidious and wreak havok on a terrifying scale.

Dark Druid. "Oh, but druids are all about cute fluffy bears and pretty flowers and trees!" Here's some news. Spiders and ants and snakes and mushrooms and wasps and mold and disease are all nature, too.

Diviner. "What the heck is so evil about a guy who casts a bunch of divination spells?" Well see, the evil bit isn't in the spells they toss around. It's in what they do afterward with the information they've gathered...
