Psicrystal's and Telepathy

Psicrystal's gain the Telepathic Speech Ex Ability at 5th level, which is listed under Special Qualities.


If the owner is 5th level or higher, the psicrystal can communicate telepathically with any creature that has a language and is within 30 feet of the psicrystal, while the psicrystal is also within 1 mile of the owner.

The Wizards glossary dictates;


A creature with this ability (supernatural) can communicate telepathically with any other creature within a certain range (specified in the creature's entry, usually 100 feet) that has a language. It is possible to address multiple creatures at once telepathically, although maintaining a telepathic conversation with more than one creature at a time is just as difficult as simultaneously speaking and listening to multiple people at the same time.

The Mindsight Feat requires Telepathy Special Quality.

Now; while Telepathic speech is not "Telepathy", it fits the exact description of "Telepathy" Special Quality. (Such as the Formian Queen's entry; "Telepathy (Su): The queen can communicate telepathically with any intelligent creature within 50 miles whose presence she is aware of."

Short: yes it does
Long: well you could discuss about it being RAW and RAI (the hole thing about Psicrystals getting feats is also not entirely RAI for some ppl), but most DMs should allow it since like you said ... it basically ist Telepathy (I'd say it is just formulated different in this case) and therefor qualifies for mindsight
